My wife recently bought a 2002 version of the car. There are two seat control modules. They are a notorious problem. I had both of mine replaced. If they have not been replaced then he will need to get it done. Yes, he will have to do both. The problem has been fixed by the new version of the mdoule but if one is bad the other will not be far behind. Sorry. It only hurts for a little while.
