These are neat little cars...

Some folks I met at a car show had a '53 170DS that was pretty cherry. Wonderful prewar interior and exterior. First owners had been some Duponts living in Paris. They had Cadillacs and Chryslers shipped over with them, but the gasoline then available in Europe was so terrible they went and bought the diesel.

These cars have body-on-frame construction, so body problems should be easier to get at than later unibodies. It seems that there are still parts supplies around too.

If I didn't have to dump a ton of money into it, this could be a fun car, and one you'd not be likely to see another of for some time.
