Suggestions for my computer, it's getting pretty slow (A-gain!)
Hey, what's your latest freebie computer cleaning suggestions? Getting pretty slow to load pages, pretty bad. I get this once in awhile.
I have freebie versions of "Superantispyware" and a free registry cleaner "Eusing Free Register Cleaner". They come up with stuff all the time, but I think something is dodging them. Did the disc cleanup utility and defrag, so I am trying. Did a "dskchk", found a few things it didn't like, but still have problems. Not bad at the moment.
Usual "sheep" equipment, Dell with Windows XP Media Edition. Hoping someone has a few good ideas for me. Take it easy on me, I know just enough to get in trouble.
Sometimes even outlook express doesn't want to connect to my server, get "POP3" errors and that sort of thing. At times almost bad enough to consider reformatting the disc, but that's pretty drastic.
