Bryce, apply Liquid Wrench a few times over several days before resorting to cutting the pins. It's odd that a punch and hammer wouldn't drive them out.

If you cut the pins you are still going to have a difficult time driving the head of the pin out unless you have a long punch, or hardened rod that will reach from the front hole to the back hole.
