It was like having a personal historical tour guide. We visited lots of Mughal forts and palaces. He knew everything about them and could tell us about their invasion routes, their policies in India etc. We had lots of discussions about the imperial history of India, especially the British control. At their peak, the Brits only had 400k(? maybe 200k) people in India yet controlled the whole subcontinent.
