Offhand, I'd guess your head gasket's okay. However, the coolant sounds like it's pretty dirty. I'd suggest changing the coolant out and flushing the system. Those light brown droplets almost sound like rust particles, and the coolant itself soundslike it's real rusty...
Just a thought...good luck! I've heard on this site that using citric acid is a good idea when flushing the system out.
