Well, I've been driving it all around yesterday and today, and while mostly perfect, I'm also detecting a slight "roaring" sound at about 35 mph/1,700 rpm ... so now I'm thinking I must have screwed up the center bearing. The idle vibrating definitely seems to be the exhaust ... so I think I just screwed up everything, which is kind of depressing, because I worked really hard on this.
Of course, I might just be going crazy. So I'm going to take it to my mechanic next week just to get a second, non-crazy set of ears on it.
I'm sure it'll work out OK, even if my indy has to fix it, but I could really use a reason to feel good about myself now ... even the windshield wiper I installed doesn't fit right ...
