Incorrect ... I have personally had one of these trucks.... 2007 1500 silverado classic ext cab chev with 5.3 gas v8 and i consistently saw 22 mpg (19-20 city) over 3 years.... I am not the easiest person with my right foot so i can see that it is completely possible to achieve 24 mpg with that motor. Hypertech also makes a chip for that engine that is said to improve the economy even more! Mine was stock.
