When broken will affect turning one direction or the other. The springs are not available, the box would need to be replaced.

After doing some more searching I think you are right. I guess my next educational adventure will be replacing a Mercedes steering gearbox
Every time I think I know all there is to know about these cars something new comes up. The cool thing is that usually quite a few people on this forum have already figured out how to fix whatever problem I may have. Thanks-Scott
