Things were pretty cool. some beer & mixed drinks and friends.

The guys were shooting billiards and making wagers. things got a little tense when disputes about shots were made. Who won and who lost bets got ugly. I asked a few guys that I didn't know that well to leave.

an exchange of verbal assaults were made and I decided to call the police.

just before the police arrived the "punks" left.

The officers told me that I need to be careful of retaliation and don't hesitate to call them back.

this morning I inspected the house and everything was okay.

I got a call later in the morning that one of the guys that started the altercation had gone on to a pool hall to continue his drunken exploits and wound up getting beat up in the parking lot and now is in serious condition at the hospital.

I feel bad for this guy but didn't really know him. He only showed up through a friend ( I will now reconsider) and feeling that I should have done something sooner to avert any problems.
