I had some bolts back out off my torque converter on my '82 300SD. Subsequently the flex plate broke, and one of the brackets that the bolts screw into on the TC had the hole elongated and threds destroyed. Since Mercedes torque converters very rarely go bad, but the unit must be balanced, can a machinest fill the hole and re-drill? Should I buy a used one and have it flushed? Or should I purchase a new, or rebuilt one.
Any commments would be really appreciated, as this is only thing keeping my MB off the road.
Thanks in advance,
Peter Kalloday
