I've spent way too much at HF. It really gets bad when I swing by one of their outlets.

I bought a hardwood floor stapler for about $120. Professional models run three or four times that. I put down about 120 square feet of Brazilian Cherry (very hard stuff) and it did just fine. Rental would have probably been a bit less, but I would not have the tool after wards. I have been impressed with some of their sockets; not S-K or Snap-On, but they do the trick. I've only split a 19mm deep after years of use.

I pretty much steer clear of the electronic power tools. They're just too cheap.

You can't beat boxes of nitril gloves. Dirt cheap.
