I had a guy offer me a 76 350SE awhile back in trade for my 73 280.
Warm weather and the prospect of the amount of effort/cost it will require to
cobble some sort of reasonable replacement for this god forsaken Solex has me considering it. Any particular thoughts on the little v8 S class? It seems to be well thought of. No it's not a stick, no euro lights which is a minor thing to fix, looks to have had power windows added after the fact, velour or whatever the fuzzy cloth interior was back then, small bumpers, a really ugly side marker light that looks suspiciously like the one on my W114, but somehow looks way out of place. Owner thinks it needs a fuel distributor, runs and drives but hard to start hot (maybe it has a 4A1 hidden in it somewhere), I'd look at the accumulator but who knows. I think I can have the fuel dizzy rebuilt by a guy up north that does our Porsche junk pretty cheaply. Baby poop tan/brown with what looks like a green interior. Very Euro, heh.
