I think 3-400 is more than fair. Ultimately, we are not talking about a lot of money here, for a running car with a 100% service record from a guy you've known for 30 years. Id probaby offer 500 bucks to a friend of 30 years

100 bucks would be insulting. It would make more sense to offer to trade another car that you don't want if you don't want to involve cash
