Hey,
So I haven't actually started my brake work, but this is my first time doing something of this magnitude. I need to replace my master cylinder (leaking), brake booster (damaged from leaking master cylinder), brake pads (wear sensor indicator just went off) and rear rotors (dealer says one is warped).
So I want to double check my plan of action with you guys, just to make sure that I'm not missing anything, because the benz is my only car - so once the wheels are off, I'm stuck till it's done. Also, my dad always told me that the more you plan, the less you F-up.
So here is my order of attack:
- Remove the old master cylinder
- Remover the old booster
- Attach new booster
- Bench bleed new cylinder
- Attach new cylinder
- Jack up car
- Remove rear wheels
- Remove brake pads
- Attach new brake pads
- Remove calipers
- Remove old rotors
- Attach new rotors
- Re-attach calipers
- Bleed brakes
- Attach wheels
- Profit!
Am I missing anything? Any other questions?
