Well that's the thing....he's just looking for a reasonable offer, here is the story.

He is the only legal registered importer in the state of MA and he seems to work on a per order basis and not on speculation. He brought this truck over from Germany a few years ago for a repeat client who ended up not paying so he's willing to sell it and take a hit (He kept repeating, his loss, my gain) He said because of currency conversion and all the other factors that it cost him $38,000 to get it over here. Now if your savvy enough and prove to him that its NOT in mint condition and its really not that rare then you might be able to convince him to let it go for somewhere in the $20s.

I think the case would have to really be made that much newer trucks are available on the market and a LWB model is the most common. A two door Gwagen would be much rarer and more valuable (He seems to think that its the other way around) For example, this 1990 Cabrio with a leather interior was sold last year for $25,000, now that is a truly rare beast. W463s with diesels can be found, they just don't go for sale all that often.

One piece of advice though for anyone who buys it, put a turbo on it (Its a NA 603 and while i'm not a sporting driver even I feel that it needed more kick)
