A turbo for a diesel is usually framed a *little* smaller because it cannot spin as high and *usually* does not have as much exhaust energy as the flame coming out of the business end of a gasser head. Combine that with the fact that your engine has almost twice the swept volume of the diesel and what do you get? A horribly choked down motor. You'd blow that turbo way off its map and choke your engine down in the meantime. Size the correct size turbo and go for it! An M117 would scream with a little added assistance . Not sure how well V8 CIS would deal with it though.
