I thought the concept was cool but mine was a major pain in the ass. I had it for about 60 days and pulled the engine 3 times. The first time was to replace the head gaskets (technically water jacket seals). Then I realized the head was cracked, so I spent $1,000 on a new set of heads. Started it up and one of the exhaust valves broke in 3 seconds. That was one of the brand new GoWesty heads. Third time was to replace the bad head.
You can R/R the heads with the engine in place but I liked the security of knowing the cylinder o-rings were correctly installed, which I found difficult to do with the engine in the car. The good news is that it only takes about 60 minutes to pull the engine.
Sorry for the post but I saw your post and had flashbacks. I still wish I had it and done the Ford Zetec conversion but I couldn't see myself dropping another dime into it.
