Trying to figure out where the forms necessary to apply for a cash advance are hidden since ground travel for my upcoming two trips to Ipoh is projected to take 50 or more of these.....
..... and Mr. Wong's taxi service is CASH ONLY. ~ Seven hunnert and fiddy or so amurican dollars is something I can't/ain't a gonna float no matter who much I like my employer.
Gotta try to help Darling Wife get through the stupidly large back load of laundry tonight (side note: WOOT! Washer and dryer now live ABOVE GROUND!!! in The Room Formerly Known as The Hot Tub Room!!! I survived a tri-fecta of personal injuriy opportunities entirely unscathed: 240VAC circuit installation, new plumbing (in AND out!) installation, and dragging the stupid heavy washer and the much lighter dryer out of the basement!).
Tomorrow is Cousin Max's graduation from Hopkins - which means getting to Baltimore at oh-stupid-early. Friday we head for Richmond to start the archeological dig on one of the houses utterly trashed by Darling Wife's maternal-side family. Been uninhabited for more than a decade (well, relatively uninhabited - early reports indicate a healthy vermin population resides there), but is far from empty. It got filled to the point the trash piles were collapsing in on the inhabitants. Said inhabitants moved out, other family members cleaned out the place. Former inhabitants moved back in. Lather, rinse, and repeat. Four times during the roaring 1990's.
Should be "interesting" since we can't just shovel schtuff into a dumpster - there is a chance that some non-trivial amount of granddaddy's old cash, stock certificates, and life insurance policies are buried somewhere in the place. Can't hardly wait!
