I had an '89 K1500 that I loved but had to sell to get some cash when I bought our house. It was no powerhouse but it was adequate as a tow vehicle for my boat and snowmobiles. The injection pump did get replaced at 135k. I'd get 17 hwy so if it's a 2wd 20 is definitely within reason.
I'd buy another one if I came across a low mileage one with a mint body.
