on the w201, it goes over the tranny and into a hole on the driver's side (assuming LHD in columbia, MO). then it turns into a soft line, and connects to another segment of piping which starts as a soft line, then turns hard. once it turns hard, it is bracketed to the foot well to the left and above the gas pedal, then goes up to the other cylinder on the pedal cluster. if you bought a new tube kit from mb, you know they come as a straight line with soft ends, and if you don't have a pipe bender, you can get one on the cheap from harbor freight to do the job
