It is generally recommended that you should change your oil and filter at least once a year, some say twice. One of the problems with low mileage cars is that the oil sits around absorbing moisture and anything else thats about. This can degrade the oil & then you could have all the problems associated with poor oil. Best change it & see if you have another use for the old oil like lubricating your bike chain and anything else that needs an oil.
