What you will find out if you research it more deeply is that most Muslim sects divide the world into two groups: us and the others. "Others" may be:
1. Apostates: Muslim who don't believe exactly what my sect believes and are therefore worthy of death because they are evil wrong believers. These are also people who are called Kaffir, which means "worthless" In South Africa, " keffir" is the wqord used by white like we use the N-word.,
2. Unbelievers: people who reject Islam. These can either be killed outright or, if they agree to convert, be brought into the fold, as long as they COMPLY.
3. The people of the book: people who follow the Bible literally, because the Bible is connected to the Koran. These people are considered
"dhimmi" -- kind of like second-class citizens who are taxed and controlled, as a way to force them to convert to Islam. For centuries, the Muslims did tax Jews in Muslim lands until they taxed them into bankruptcy-- or conversion.
So-- I'll ask the question again-- what am I getting along FOR?
Why can't my views be respected?
Answer: Because they are different, therefore we don't control you, so you must be forced to comply. And the Muslims will use every means they can to do this, because, like the pestering hobo, everyone is afraid to yell " GO AWAY!" It's easier to give up a little.
But is it really easier? or better? I don't think so.
Life has taught me I deserve respect too.
