I'll just go out and say it, the issue is with the Payroll department of Ithaca College. My job is part of my financial aid package (work study) so changing jobs is unfortunately out of the question.
I do my banking with Charles Schwab, so I just sign the check, seal it, and mail it off to the drop box for deposits
Didn't we meet at Chad's GTG? When have I ever given you the impression that i'm a chick

Yes we probably met at Chad's place. Never thought anything of the kind. And please don't misunderstand my daughter reference. I've been her emergency atm longer that I like to admit.

Back on point, wouldn't it be simpler and provide faster funds availability if you opened a campus bank acount? Is there a favored bank with a campus branch? This will probably be the same bank the college uses for their payroll account. I think this would be the fastest possible way for your paycheck to be credited to your account. Question: How soon after you drop a deposit in your local mailbox do the funds become available for use. As soon as Schwab posts it to your account? 3 days later? 5 days later? Whatever it is, mailing adds another day or two to your lag time. Time is money.
