Most modern US infantry units have something to deal with a BRDM: .50 cal, TOW, LAW, ATM. A 25mm chain gun on a Bradley will chew it up fairly well also. Of course, an M1 tank main gun will make a smoking pile of junk pretty quickly out of one of these. Cool thing is, a M1 main gun, and a TOW can reach out a long way and smack this guy.
Don't get me wrong; I would not want my ass in the grass facing one of these without anything heavier than 7.62 at my disposal. You'd have to be pretty creative to get rid of one without a heavier weapon, but all in all, they are light weight critters, not made for standoffs against infantry or armor with strong weaponry. Great for oppressing the masses, though....
