Don't get me wrong; I would not want my ass in the grass facing one of these without anything heavier than 7.62 at my disposal. You'd have to be pretty creative to get rid of one without a heavier weapon, but all in all, they are light weight critters, not made for standoffs against infantry or armor with strong weaponry. Great for oppressing the masses, though....

14.5 is a cool machine gun, almost as good as the US M2, Mr. Browning's baby...

Pretty much true of any light infantry carrier but I think it must be noted that the BRDM has armor plating of some sort compared to most Humvee's. I don't really think the US fields anything that is on par with the BRDMs (Correct me if i'm wrong) One would think that the next comparison would be the M113 but then the Russians also had the BMP and BTR series.






I think the design of the BRDM is much more in line with European vehicles then American ones.
