Don't feel so bad..
Back in my college days, (after I got out of the service), I was in a class and the teacher asked if anyone knew what day it was. The teacher was Al Severance, who was also the former head basketball. A good coach and a well respected man.

So in his gruff voice, he asks the class:

It happened to be November 11, 1969.
No one knew.
