I don't know. Most of the population here is from the USA, and we have never received that engine in any MB model, so we are not familiar with it.

Many of the petrol engines do not come with an oil dipstick either. Those engines do have a space for one. I would guess your 420 CDI does too. Have you asked at a main dealer or MB workshop? They should be familiar with the engine.
