That's the sorta funny part of it all.
I only have the alternator that would make a dandy core due to parting out the 450k mile car that I bought for the engine. The slip rings were worn down ~1/8" below level, and bearings are iffy as well.
I already ended up buying a local supplied alternator since I needed the car on the road.
Annoyingly enough, it wasn't much later that I realized that I had one stashed from my 500SEC's replacement motor, and it was in decent shape if I remember correctly.
