It is sad that this article has generated such personal responses. Making it such a personal attack allows everyone to ignore the more important aspects of the information disclosed.
Yes, newspapers have a long history of supporting candidates or parties. Look at some of the pro-Lincoln versus anti-Lincoln reporting during the US Civil war and its very obvious.
Two things make what passes for 21st Century journalism odious;
1) The general denial of bias. They "claim" to be objective.
2) The collusion between "journalists" and the Obama election campaign.
This collusion between government and "journalism" should frighten all who believe in freedom and classical liberal values. That I do not see any outrage from members of the political left makes me question their committiment to classic liberal values.
While most of you on the left hate Fox news, I would expect you to be outraged at attempts to use the power of government to shut them down. What was the classic definition of free speech?"--I may hate what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it." I almost hate to say it, but this resembles more the way a fascist state operates than does a free democratic republic. Note: fascist tactics alone do not make a fascist State--I am not here accusing anyone of fascism.
