Car ran great that morning on the way to work. Started acting up when I went to start after work. Wondering if something has gone in the IP.

Just a thought... check the linkage at the firewall. There is a damper device that has rubber sandwiched between metal. I forget the name for it. Sometimes the rubber degrades over time and can shear. Have someone activate the throttle from inside while you look at the part - it's fastened to the firewall. If it is sheared, you will see the rubber deform.
