Do a search using my screen name. I have a 1999 E300 and it was a real nightmare for awhile. Everything in the car broke. Most of the problems were electrical in nature and I was about to let someone else hold the car when I encountered a good mechinac In South Carolina where I live. One of the controllers was bad and he replaced it for a price but at least the car stopped giving me trouble. Since then I have loved my car.

Everything under the sun was replaced under warrenty. With about 51000 miles the A/C went south while I was in Atlanta. I had a miserable drive home to SC. When I took the car in Mercedes paid only a portion of the bill even though the car had been in repeatdly for error codes relating to the a/c. That was not right since the car was barely out of warrenty.

They will never see the car again. I hope that your problems get go away and that you will get to enjoy the car.
