1) Fax Machines - use mine fairly often, see # 2
2) Landline Phones - cell calls sound like $hit. I won't give mine up.
3) Beeper/Pagers -never had one
4) DVD players - they'll improve, ie Blue-Ray, but not go away IMO
5) Film Projectors at theatres- who goes to theatres?
6) The Computer Mouse - Photoshopping with your finger is next to impossible
7) Cell Phone Chargers- then how will I charge my cell phone?
8) Plasma TVs - I still don't have a flat screen. My big Wega CRT refuses to die. I won't replace something that operates perfectly just because there's something newer and "better".
9) Credit Cards - mine went away a long time ago. Good riddance
10) E-Book Readers - books are and should always be made of paper
11) iPods - no opinion, I don't use one, my wife and son would sure be lost without theirs though.
As far as music goes, vinyl is experiencing a resurgence, as are tube amplifiers, although I suppose that'll just be a geeky niche market. I jumped into the computer "craze" pretty early. Buying my first Macintosh Plus in 1988. It's ability to keep track of my livestock records and books was a true revelation. I signed onto the internets for the first time in 91 and the access to information it gave was a life changing event. It seems to me that our technological focus has changed now. So much new tech CREATES a need to be filled, rather than filling a need that actually exists. I guess I've survived a serious case of techno-lust and am now immune to it.
