you know what i'm not a big 240d fan but in this case, given it's a euro, nice clean engine bay, and if it drives well, i say sell the 300cd with the steering wheel, make your money and make off like a bandit with a 240d. you'd be 'making off' like a slow bandit, but hey, you get there in style, so...
