I think its unlikely. The pressure switch is located behind the driver's side headlight. Its red with 2 wires coming out of it. If you remove the pressure switch you'll have to get the whole system recharged again. How hot is your engine when this happens? The system is designed to shut off the AC if the coolant temp gets over 115c.
