Check the serp belt tensioner shock. When these go south you get a significant rattling sound which goes away at engine speeds above idle. It is possible to replace the shock without removing the pulley blocking the bottom bolt, you just have to gradually loosen the pulley bolts bit by bit until you can get the bottom tensioner bolt out.
