Ive usually gotten cans for about $6-7 each. There has been a slow price increase. R134a will soon go the way of the dodo and will be priced like R12 was a few years back due to scarcity.

I bought a 30# container for the long run and that was the best deal. It is a good recommendation (along with a real, US-made set of gauges) if ou are actually going to maintain your cars long term.
