I thought as much. When I did the 3.5 to 3.0 transplant the starter came from the 3.0. It sounded pretty harsh (Grinding) on start up so I knew it was on it's way out. A few months later it packed up and even hitting it didn't work. (By the sound of it you could tell it was too far gone I guess) On the 280 it sounds prefect while starting so I guess it just got a bit tight this one time from those few start/stops. I'll give this a shot tomorrow (So long as I can get it running for at least a few days it will give me a chance to pull the starter and get it rebuilt preemptively)

I was looking all over the left side of the engine (From the drivers seat)
Guess it's the opposite of the 603
