Since it's empty, do yourself a favor and find one of the high quality brass adapter fittings. When removing your current adapter, remove the original Shraeder valve before installing the brass adapter. These cost $6 or $8 but well worth the extra cost.

I buy them locally at an auto supply that caters to the repair shop trade, but if you can't find them locally, check with some of the internet suppliers such as acsource or ackits. Add a dot com to those names.
