The bigger picture counts. America is on the path of no return. GB & SP aren't going to fix it, just like BO didn't and will not fix it.
November? Elections? What are you talking about? A system that is designed to be swayed at any given time.
Keep on believing ... to live in a "free country".

We live in as free a country as we allow it to be. I don't agree with a lot of the things Glen Beck or the Rushies propagate, they remind me of the Moonies. On the other hand, I don't believe in the entitlement state either. What changed America in the 1960s was lots of people LOUDLY protesting until change happened. I was there, I didn't see it on TV, or read about it in a homogenized history book. I was living it. And it worked. Democracy in action. It took eight years and a lot of effort but it caused Watergate, the Pentagon Papers, the resignations of Agnew and Nixon. Only time in US history when the machinery and popular support of it caused a sitting president to resign. That's power.
Now few people change things because they are too busy doing self-interested things. The only people who actually got in trouble in the 1960s were the ones advocating violent revolution.
-- Don't confuse freedom and anarchy, or obsessive organization with dictatorship. Your wacky obsessive compulsive ex gf x 100 million = one strong trend in 2010 America. Counter it if you don't like it.
-- Be informed, and keep others informed.
-- Throw the bums out in city hall, so they don't vote themselves $800,000 salaries like they did in Bell, CA. To do that, you have to go to City Council meetings and..oh wait, I'll miss the latest episode of Family Guy, can't do that! Then live with the results!
-- Volunteer for the political or community movement/effort of your choice.
-- Don't expect immediate change, It took you six months to acquire that extra 25 lbs of ugly fat, and it'll take a while to lose it (short of decapitation).
It's up to you to start and persevere.
Oh, one last thing: if you don't vote and don't do any of these things, quit whining.
