harmonics on the air cleaner

Hello,

In messing with my idle and rack dampener, I found that there were some idle speeds and situations where the air cleaner will vibrate so violently that it will hit the side of the valve cover.

I have a pretty new air cleaner mount, and all the rubber connectors are brand new...

Has anyone else experienced this? The clanging noise of the air cleaner hitting the valvecover?

The worst part of it is that the best perceived idle is at a speed/setting where the air cleaner will sometimes do this.

The weird part is that the air cleaner will not jst do this naturally, it takes some change in load, like the AC coming on or shifting from drive to neutral for it to happen... And then if you make a slight change, like goose the throttle or something, it will stop.

Anyone experience this?
