You're not reading anything wrong. The install descriptions that don't use relays are a bit misleading. There are hundreds of aftermarket keyless systems. Some have internal relays as part of the base system. These can be installed without "external relays". That is what you are reading about in the other threads. In other words, the "non relay" intalls simply use the relays that are already part of the aftermarket system. The REC43T does not have its own relays. That is why you must use "external relays" (I believe Omega does sell a relay kit that is a direct plug in to the REC43T, might be something to check out)
Any automotive supply place can sell you a pair of relays. You can also try an electronics shop. I go to an electronics surplus place--they have boxes full of relays for $1.25 each. Maybe you can find something like that. Radio Shack probably also has relays.
Just a bit of caution, wiring all this up correctly will be a challenge if you don't have a basic understanding of the MB lock system and how a relay works.
