But Beck seems to have realized that the attempt to bring about social change by passing laws to control moral behavior has failed. Over the last 30 years abortions are up, divorce is up and drug use is up so what good has all the effort that has gone into getting the 'right' people elected come to? The answer seems to be nothing but failure if you put the numbers to it.
Bush's response to any problem was to throw more money at it, just like he did in his oil businesses.
Again, the Religious Right's hand picked man failed to bring about any change for the better.
He told Palin that if she was going to mention politics that she could not speak, so she had to ad-lib the 'I am a mother' routine. The fact that Beck has now proven he can control Palin is, I think, the biggest story of the day.

They'd make a deal with the devil himself to achieve their goals. Nothing new there. It is always for the greater good that they do things or so they tell themselves or they'd never be able to get a good night sleep. Obviously they don't want to have the slogan "By any means necessary". They want to make it look like it comes from within.
That would only be true if Beck or Rush or any of those people really believed what they were saying. I don't think so. Basically, they will say whatever will get them a buck. Much like our politicians except Beck's method gets money to him either way. Win, lose or draw, he wins.
How is that any different from any politician we have today.
Why do you say that? Their vision of "better" might be different from yours. Their vision of "better" might be someone who hinders abortion or abolition of school prayer, etc, etc.
Better he controls it than allow Palin to screw it up. If you were running the show, would you allow her to speak? I wouldn't.
