The coils were repplaced you sure? Under the ABS pump assembly was a pain for me the first time. Took hours to get them both out and they were stamped 1992 in my 93 400E. Tells me they were original. The coil wires snapped in my hands as I pulled them off. I have the MB book that shows all that was dont but I can tell there is no way that happened. The plastic covers that cover the coils completely hide them especially when the intake hoses are installed behind the headlights.
