If nothing else it is a BIG change in his act. Palin has one speech. She reminds me of an old Vegas comic who has not changed his act in 30 years. Rush has one theme and he just fits the news of the day to reflect it. Beck had his 'education' routine and now he has unveiled an entirely new act. It reminds me of when Elvis went from rock 'n roll Elvis to the Jumpsuit Elvis. The Beatles were killing him and he had to change. His old act was just not drawing in the crowds anymore, and the new Vegas Jumpsuit Elvis was a big hit.
Beck has stepped out with the new Beck. Perhaps he is following Ann Coulter who is now headlining Gay conventions; perhaps he has seen the smaller crowds Palin is pulling at her personal appearances. Whatever it is the Right is not sure what to make of him now.
All the Right reporting I have seen on this is of the 'Wow, those libs sure are mad!' and there is no mention of what he said. That can only be because they do not know what to say.
The real test will be his next rally. Will anyone show up?

Well summarized. Since that doesn't fit into the media template, you won't see it analyzed that way by them.
Actually, the REAL test will be the November election. Rallies are only rallies. Elections are what determines who gets to advance their political will.
