I swapped out a micro ATX MB a few months back. I was replacing an HP board. Also consider the power connectors, case size/layout, and cooling fan positioning. In hindsight I should have bought a new computer but I kept thinking I only needed one more thing...

And be ready for a hassle about re-activating Windows. A new MB = a new computer in Windows anti-piracy world. Hope you don't have an OEM license, or you'll be SOL.
