after experiencing one too many axle boot failures, I have taken to spraying them once per month with Mother's Protectant for Rubber Vinyl and Plastic. after I use up the Mother's I'm switching to 303 Aerospace Protectant sprayed on the boots once per month. both products are very good and will help prolong the life of the axle boots.
