A dry belt can cause a noise like you describe. With the engine running you can spray a little silicone spray on the belt (both sides) and if it goes away you've found the culprit. If the silicone spray quiets the noise then you get the peace of mind knowing it's not a bearing going out. You'll have to plan for a belt eventually as the silicone is just a temporary fix.
