My Girlfriends 240D 4 speed is not not shutting down.

I have about 15 min of interest in following vacuum diagrams etc. Her door locks aren't working either and I had some nice advice on how to fix that here, but just find I have more important things to do than chase vacuum stuff.

She and I just want no vacuum system except the brake booster.

I want to fix the shut down with a cable.

I like the KISS principle and the Mercedes didn't follow that with the Vac system.
