Maybe contact JIMMYL, he has taken these things apart from one end to the other. he might give you some ideas.

It`s a long thread and has some good info in it. I know it is mostly the W123 wagon mostly, but the seats should be the same set up.

The headrests should come off w/o too much trouble so the seats can fold flat to increase the cargo area. It`s always the little things that getcha.
